The purchase in 1985 of a 220 - hecta re property situated between Lancefield & Kilmore on the  Great Dividing Range in Central Victoria, Australia saw the beginnings of Mount William Winery.

Paddocks that once carried sheep and cattle then were cultivated and turned to growing acres of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

These were soon to be followed by Cabernet Franc, Semillion and most recently Merlot.

The sheep and Angus cattle have not disappeared and still play an important role in the general farming program with the sheep doubling as organic weed controllers in the vineyard over winter.

Visitors to the winery may enjoy a relaxing and personalised time here, the sales and tasting room built from stone off the property provides a cosy atmosphere and five acres of picturesque gardens and are best enjoyed walking with a glass of wine in hand.
